LAPRAF

The Los Angeles Police Relief and Assistance Foundation (LAPRAF) was formed in November 2007 by LAPRA to provide financial assistance and other support to active and retired officers and their families that, through no fault of their own, find themselves in dire financial circumstances.  Whether itโ€™s helping with medical costs not covered by insurance or providing academic college scholarships to our children, LAPRAF support may mean the difference between financial security or long-term hardship.

Your donations ensure that LAPRAF can serve officers in need and continue expanding these important programs. In 2024, we expanded our academic scholarship program from five to seven $10,000 scholarships for children of LAPRA members attending college. In 2025, LAPRAF provided grants to officers severely impacted by the Los Angeles area fires.  The Foundation receives requests from active and retired officers that vary in need and severity. Our goal is to support our members in the most effective ways possible.

Please consider a tax-deductible financial donation of any size, one-time or ongoing, so we can continue to provide help to officers and their families in need.
