Paid Leave of Absence
If you are on a paid leave of absence, you are eligible to remain in all LAPRA’s medical, dental, vision and wellness plans.
You are eligible to remain inLife Insurance Plans for up to 12 months.
Unpaid Leave of Absence – LAPRA Member
If you are a LAPRA member, you are eligible to remain in all LAPRA’s medical, dental, vision and wellness plans for up to 12 months provided you complete the required forms.
You are eligible to remain in Life Insurance Plans for up to 12 months. If you return to work after 12 months, you will need to re-enroll in the Life Insurance Plans and complete evidence of insurability.
Unpaid Leave of Absence – LAPRA Non-Member
If you are not a LAPRA member, you are eligible to remain in all LAPRA’s medical, dental, vision and wellness plans for up to 18 months by enrolling in COBRA.
Military Leave
The status of your benefits during a military leave depends on multiple factors including the duration of your leave and whether your leave is paid or unpaid. We recommend you contact (link to Contacts) LAPRA to discuss your options.
