Annual Enrollment is the one time of the year that you can make changes to your LAPRA medical, dental, and vision plans such as add/remove dependents, switch plans, end coverage.
Annual Enrollment is during the month of May each year. Changes made during Annual Enrollment are effective July 1.

If You’re Not Making Any Changes During Annual Enrollment
If you do not wish to make changes to your current medical or dental coverage and you have no changes to dependents, there is no need to re-enroll during Annual Enrollment. Your current medical and/or dental coverage will automatically continue.
Cash-in-Lieu through the City of Los Angeles
If you waive LAPRA medical coverage, you may be able to receive a Cash-in-Lieu benefit from the City. Contact the Employee Benefits Division for more information.
Changes You Can Make Any Time of the Year
You can log onto LAPRAlive.org any time to make changes such as updating your address and life insurance beneficiaries.
