The Los Angeles Police Retirement Benefit and Insurance Association, Inc. (RB&I) is a separate corporation providing additional life insurance benefits for its members and their families.
Recruits employed by the City of Los Angeles to become sworn police officers in the Los Angeles Police Department are eligible for RB&I membership.
You will be automatically enrolled in RB&I membership upon your initial hiring as a new recruit by the City of Los Angeles. Your membership benefits are effective on your date of hire. You can cancel your membership any time after you are sworn in.
